FESTINIÑOS- "Operation Christmas Child" Meetings
Our church has been invited to participate for the first time this year in “Operation Christmas Child”- an international program through the Samaritan´s Purse organization.
Samaritan´s Purse collects shoeboxes of Christmas gifts in the United States and Canada to send to local churches/ministries all around the world (like Mexico) for children in need, as a tool to share the gospel of the best Christmas gift ever: salvation through Jesus Christ!
As a participant in the program, our church will receive shoeboxes of gifts to give to children in our community for our evangelistic event at the end of the year, as well as material to disciple the children in our Sunday School program in the weeks that follow. What an awesome resource to share the gospel with the children in our area! As well as an amazing way to unite the Body of Christ around the world in ministry!
This last month we have met with other churches in the state of Tlaxcala on 3 different occasions to learn about the program, pray for the spreading of the gospel through the program, and plan the details of the events. It is a time and energy commitment, but we pray that through the program many, many children in the state of Tlaxcala will come to know and follow Jesus Christ.
