God has really blessed Pan de Vida this week with the presence of a Canadian church group that has come to work and help-out at Pan de Vida for 2 weeks. This special church in Canada sends a missionary team each year to help with current projects of the orphanage. With the diverse team of about 15-20 people, from 4 years old up to much older, they are doing alot of work! During their stay, they have been rebuilding the support wall in front of the girls’ dormitories, and digging a drainage ditch system around the edge of Pan de Vida to stop
water from entering and flooding the school during the rainy season (May-August). It is desperately needed, because practically every week of the rainy season the kids had to shovel mud out of the school patio. I’ve heard that besides these projects, they have even more for the next week. Their hard work is greatly appreciated, and a huge blessing to everyone here. Plus, the kids enjoy their presence- with new people to talk to or interact with. And of course they enjoy the candy bags that this generous group brought for them. Praise the Lord for their presence and servant hearts!
