• Advance on the School Building Construction!

  For the past year, the school building of Pan de Vida has been under expansion to add a new wing on to the building.  In February last year (2007), the first floor was finished, and my high school class was finally able to have a classroom (instead of just using an empty bedroom with a mobil-blackboard).  Since finishing the first floor, the construction efforts have been focused on finishing the second-floor.  It is desperately needed because with the few classrooms we have now, 3rd and 4th grades are combined in the same classroom, as well as 5th and 6th.  Plus, our college class doesn’t have it’s own classroom, and just uses whichever is available in the moment. 

  But, the school is almost completed!!  The director hopes to have it finished and even funtioning sometime in February!  Though Paco is not in charge of the construction (a team of 3 men have done the majority of the construction), projects for the school have filled his schedule for the past few months.  He recently finished all the stair railings and banisters, and all the doors on the new classrooms.  They turned out beautiful- and he is relieved to get them done because with the big push to get the school ready in February, he was keeping a busy work schedule.
